Dedicated to the practical and artistic values of holograms, works presented at the Museum of Holography speak to both the scientific merit and aesthetic interest that this relatively new technology displays. A whole portion of the museum speaks to the impact of holograms in medical imaging practices while other areas portray famous sports figures and mingle photography with holographic figures. The museum is run by Chicago's School of Holography, which offers a number of 10-week classes and 1-week summer workshops on hologram production. Both the museum and the school are contained within the same building, located in the West Loop district of Chicago, just west of downtown and within blocks of Union Park.
Open Wed. - Sun. 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Closed Mon. - Tue.
