De Paul Area

Posted by EMS S. on 3/15/2006

I visited Allende quite often when I lived in the area, i don't know why because the food is just tasteless. Maybe it's because of the chips they give out for free when you order food for dining in. The salsa is so unlike Mexican salsa, even the horcatta is extremely sweet, too much sugar. I would not recommend anyone to eat in the restaurant.

Not as good as people say.

Located conveniently by the university campus of DePaul, this is a favorite of students in Lincoln Park. But I just don't know why. They're open until 3am, but the burritos are tasteless and have made me sick nearly every time I eat them, and I have a stomach of steel! The service is good though, but they don't have fountain sodas, as many taquerias do not, and it's not even that cheap. Avoid.
