Think three times before you sell your valuables here. I consigned a client's leftovers when we moved her to her new home. Some contemporary, so I knew we would not be making a large amount of money. However, between the pick up at the house and the sale, at least 75% of the furniture had substantial damage. Plunkett sofas had wood and finish knocked off of every wood surface, a murano glass chandelier had an arm hanging by the wiring (we go a whole $200 for that!). Their fix for the chandelier was a simple glue first, then they sent it to have it repaired, on their dime. What ended up was a $7000 Frederick Cooper murano glass chandelier had one arm 2 inches lower than the other 5. They even lost the 6 shades for it. Now, I picked up the check, by the way, they still kept their percentages out of the sales. They knocked off the entire $100 pick-up fee, what generous guys, the completely LOST a leather upholstered bed!!!! Truly unbelievable. Take home message, be caareful. The chandelier you are buying may be held together by fishing line you won't see until you see the arms fall off. The arms of that set of chairs you like might be covered in brown magic marker!
