UPDATE: I called back and he was very nice and agreed to give them a flea bath at no charge. Now I feel bad for writing anything negative as we have been a customer for years. I am updating the rating and applauding him for doing this for free especially in this economy and knowing that there was a risk the dog got it in the yard. I will continue to go here based on the last call and my other wise non eventful dog groomings over 3 years I was a customer for several years and last weekend our dogs were cleaned. Six days later we found flea dirt on one of our dogs. I called and the owner stated that he could give me 50% off a flea cleaning and I said that I believe he got the fleas there. He stated that a week later is impossible, yet I find this online: "There is a dog flea also that occasionally is responsible for flea infestations, ... The incubation period for this disease is 6 to 14 days." Perhaps he got the fleas outside, always a possibility. But we have never had a problem before and went no where different than our backyard. Based on the incubation period, I have no reason to believe that it did not occur at the Barking Lot. Perhaps 50% off is a good deal. As a small business owner myself, I am put off by the 50% off instead of a free flea bath but it is his business. I will not return nor can I recommend them. I don't know if I am more upset that the owner does not know the incubation period of fleas or the 50%, or the the fact that I have fleas in my house 6 days after they were there. We visited on the first weekend in October, 2009.

If you are looking for experienced, professional grooming services, look no further. We brought our kids (two Yorkies) and could not have been more pleased. They came out looking like a million dollars, and smelled great, too. The staff members were extremely pleasant, and obviously love animals. We would not hesitate to use this business again for future services!

Nothing less then five stars for this place. I could talk fo rdays about how great this place is. They are everything my dogs need and more. Clean Friendly Dooggie "special needs" friendly Parking available Reasonably priced My two have been going here for about a year now. They know you when you come in and they know your dog. If I don't go for a month they still remember me and my dogs. They take time to work with and understand my senior mill rescue and they genuinely care about each dog. I have talked to other places in curiosity mode and no one even comes close to the full package the Barking Lot offers my dogs and I.

I took my dog to get groomed and the staff was rude and unprofessional. First impressions are important and this place left a foul taste in my mouth. The appointment I had set was pushed back and it seemed as if I was to work on their schedules and not mine. They were suppposed to provide a service that I was paying for and should have accomodated my dog and I. The Barking Lot is not so hot. Will not be back!

The Barking Lot has a huge, safe clean facility and a friendly attentive staff that cannot be beat! When my dogs are there I can check in on them during playtime with their web cams. One of my dogs is a puppy mill rescue and needs extra attention but they have made her feel safe and secure here. The staff here makes sure they get to know each and every dog and adjusts their service accordingly. My dogs get so excited when we pull up to the front of the store and come home happy and tired. Their store is amazing and the staff knowledgeable of it contents. They have a large array of services to make sure you and your dogs get everything you need. I have used them for boarding, daycare and grooming and I recommend them to everyone I know with a dog.
